Account
Recovery

Locked out? Lost your phone? Got a new device? Find your exact scenario below — we have you covered.

NOTERaw face and fingerprint data used by supported device authenticators remains under the device platform’s control. Recovery availability depends on the account and enrolled devices.

Multiple Recovery
Paths Available

BioAuth recovers your account through your identity — never a stored secret, call center or AI bot. Each path is cryptographic and identity-verified.

I got a new phone

Your old phone is gone, broken, or upgraded — but you still have access to your email.

  1. 1Download the BioAuth app on your new phone
  2. 2Tap "Recover Account"
  3. 3Enter your email address
  4. 4Complete the verification steps shown by BioAuth
  5. 5Follow the supported recovery or enrollment prompt
  6. 6Approve device authentication when requested
  7. 7Return to the application after access is restored
Revoke a lost device when the product or integrating application provides that control.
02

My phone was stolen

Someone has your phone. Here is what you need to know — and why you are still safe.

  1. 1Use a trusted device and begin the supported BioAuth recovery flow.
  2. 2Revoke the lost device where that control is available.
  3. 3Complete the verification steps shown by BioAuth.
  4. 4Approve device authentication when requested.
  5. 5Confirm the recovered account in the integrating application.
  6. 6Review active devices and security activity.
A lost device does not by itself prove authority to access a BioAuth-protected account.
03

I lost ALL my devices and can't access my email

Worst-case scenario — everything is gone.

  1. 1Contact the integrating application or the published BioAuth support channel.
  2. 2Follow the available account-specific escalation instructions.
  3. 3Complete any additional review required by customer policy.
  4. 4Re-enroll only after the application confirms authorization.
Not every account is recoverable through every path. Support cannot bypass production authentication controls.
04

My fingerprint isn't working

Your biometric scan keeps failing — maybe a cut, a bandage, or the sensor is not cooperating.

  1. 1Try a different finger — if you registered a second biometric during setup, use that one
  2. 2Clean your finger and the sensor — moisture, lotion, or dirt can interfere
  3. 3If device authentication is unavailable, use another supported enrolled device or follow the BioAuth account-recovery flow.
  4. 4Follow device and application guidance before re-enrolling.
Available authenticators and recovery options depend on the device and account configuration.
